The Backend Python Developer will design, implement, and maintain server-side logic for MATTEROOM’s SaaS platform, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include building APIs and microservices, integrating with third-party solutions such as QuickBooks Online, and working with databases to ensure reliable data storage and retrieval. The role involves collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and QA to refine requirements, review code, and deliver high-quality features. The developer will also monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase and architecture. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Taipei, Taiwan.

Qualifications
Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including building RESTful APIs and working with modern web frameworks.
Solid Software Development experience, with familiarity in version control, testing practices, and collaborative development workflows.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts, preferably with Python as a primary language.
Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Understanding of cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies is beneficial.
Familiarity with security best practices for SaaS applications and experience integrating third-party financial or business tools is a plus.
Ability to work on-site in Taipei, Taiwan, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative environment.
